This is Me

Nichole ‘Nic’ Patterson had been raised as a Servant of Rahiyah her entire life. It was an occult religion that dictated every aspect of her life, from where she went to who she could talk to and how she spent her free time. Nic’s mother, who mindlessly obeyed the elders of the congregation, only made matters worse with her overly strict rules and biased treatment of her and her older sister, Alicia.
Nic had always lived in her sister's shadow. Alicia was the prettier one, the smarter one, the one that every guy wanted to be with. By the time they were in high school, Nic had accepted that she would always be overlooked. That is until Myron Mixon, the official ‘it’ boy at their school, had taken an interest in her.
What will Nic do when the boy of her dreams and her religious mother force her to choose sides? Can Myron push Nic past her wavering devotion to her religion, or will the influential force of the cult hivemind be too strong to overcome? Follow Nic through her journey of self-discovery while she struggles with which path to take. In either case, there will be life-altering consequences, and she must decide what means more to her—a life with Myron or everything else.

Freedom’s Cost

Nic Patterson had sacrificed her family and her faith to be with Myron Mixon, the boy of her dreams. As an unexpected pregnancy shakes the dynamic of Nic’s home life, she and Myron must navigate their way to provide for their unborn child. What should have been a new beginning is marked with tragedy as a New Year’s Eve party catalyzes a series of events that would change their lives forever. Nic is faced with new obstacles and new temptations that could be the end of her and Myron’s relationship. Pulled between two paths, one filled with dark secrets and the other an unforgivable past, Nic is pushed to new breaking points. Will her newfound life prove worth the trouble, or is it the test of faith she needed to pull her back into the life she fought so hard to escape?

If Only

Nic Patterson never thought that after a teenage pregnancy, the ostracization of her family and the traumatizing encounter of being abducted as a teenager would allow her a life of happiness. Now, sixteen years later, she and Myron have remained a united front with a life of stability and happiness that most would dream of having. Despite having it all, Nic can’t help but feel like something in her life is missing. With her and Myron pursuing different goals, she must decide if her own desires are worth giving up for his happiness.

While Nic is battling herself and internal doubts, Myron is faced with a secret that could ultimately endanger the entire family. With a budding career in football, he has to balance his life as a family man while not falling prey to the attention of groupies that stardom brings. Is his love for his wife strong enough to resist the temptation? Or will he be overcome by a force much stronger than any desire he has ever encountered?

The course of actions each of them takes will ultimately decide the fate of their family. After an unexpected loss, they will have to face their doubts and temptations head-on to deal with what could be life-altering consequences.
